Aisha Hinds is an American actress who is best known for playing roles in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she began her career with an acting role in 2003. The role she played as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to draw her notice. It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer in the documentary film All the Way, which gave her the respect she earned as an actress. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was likewise highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a 3rd season.
